My name is Vivienne and I feel so fortunate to have been born and brought up in the remote Scottish islands of Orkney. You will find us at the far North of Scotland enjoying long summer days and being pounded by the elements in the wintertime which then creates the most spectacular scenery for us to admire.

My knitting journey started when I was 6 years old. We were very lucky at school to have ladies come in and teach us how to hand knit which I feel is an invaluable skill to learn. Until Covid struck, I volunteered to go into our local school once a week to teach knitting and found it a hugely rewarding experience. The concentration which little ones put into their knitting is remarkable and once a project is complete they are so proud of themselves, itβs wonderful to see.
I remember fondly my first ever completed item, a witch teddy. I then progressed onto baby clothes and by the time I was 9 years old I was taught the technique of Aran knitting which I loved, I couldnβt believe I was creating these patterns with my own hands. I continued to knit all through my teenage years and once I was settled with my own family, I purchased a knitting machine which was a whole new ball game!Β Β With a variety of techniques to explore and endless colour-ways, Iβm looking forward to introducing new patterns and designs going forward.
